Detoxification

Detoxification is a medical process of safely getting drugs and alcohol out of a person's system and can be critical for individuals addicted to Alcohol, Opiates and Prescription Drugs. Alcohol can be very difficult and dangerous to stop abruptly.

Detoxification has both physical and emotional components, and detox services without follow-up and treatment services are very ineffective as a solution to addiction. It simply places a sober, but vulnerable addicted person back in the same environment.

LE Phillips Libertas Treatment Center, a service of St. Joseph's Hospital, provides medical detoxification services in a safe environment surrounded by qualified medical staff, for people addicted to alcohol and other drugs.

Detoxification Services may be needed if ...

Have you or your loved one been using alcohol or drugs on a daily basis over an extended time period (weeks, months, years)?

Have you or your loved one been consuming alcohol or drugs in a way that it appears that the body is always under the influence?

Does it appear to others that your alcohol or drug use does not affect your ability to function in spite of near continuous use? (Is your "normal" state of life, drunk or drugged?)

Are you hiding your use from others?

Are you afraid to stop using suddenly because of the effect or hangover?

When you have tried to quit, does your body respond violently by shaking, vivid dreams and or seeing things that aren't there?

Do you lose periods of time or experiencing blackouts?

Do you make plans to always have enough alcohol or drugs on hand during periods of potential shortages?

Do you wake up at night to drink or use in the morning?

Have you planned and quit only to restart using the same amount, days or weeks later?

Do you have a history of difficult withdrawal from alcohol or drugs?

Have you resisted stopping because you fear physical symptoms of withdrawal?

If you have answered yes to more than one of these concerns, please call 800-680-4578 24/7 for a FREE consultation concerning services available at LE Phillips-Libertas Treatment Center.
